Biografia

My name is Tamas Szendrey. I was born in Budapest in 1963. I pursued fine art studies in drawing schools in parallel with high-school studies.
I spent a lot of time in the studio of 2 artists whilst enjoying their friendship: Liviusz Gyulai, graphic designer, engraver and Ferenc Házmán painter, former teacher of the College of Applied Arts.
These experiences were the most determining ones for me.

After finishing my high school studies I started working initially at MAFILM from sheer curiosity at first as an assistant cameraman then cameraman, later in the Hungarian Television as a director.

I pursued my career for 15 years when abruptly stopped it realising that my disposition is different from the general filmmaker behaviour.

After this I devoted my life to painting.

I had an exhibition with Ferenc Házmán, 2 collective exhibitions in Bulgaria and 4 independent ones in Budapest.
My life is concentrated, characterized by reclusion with technical experiments enriching it.
I do not explain my pictures, neither do they get titles.
I believe in the fact that they mediate the subconscious towards the subconscious without words or concepts.
