Light shapes everything, along with shadows, and the artist focuses primarily on the beauty it celebrates. For her 2023 solo exhibition, she has adopted the term "KOMOREBI," which has no corresponding Japanese translation but refers to the light filtering through the leaves of trees, a brief yet intense moment that expresses a state of mind, a fleeting sensation, like the rays of sunlight filtering through the leaves of trees in a forest or reflecting on the poetic flow of sea waves. Through her research, the artist unleashes extraordinary alchemies of light, reflections and transparencies, color and organic composition that move and dance, vibrate and vary with the changing of the day. And so, light becomes the artist, working to capture the observer, who draws the imagination with his or her eyes.
