Biografia
I can draw but I haven´t learned to paint. Through twists of fate, I ran into a vintage camera salesman. The salesman had had a very bad day, he hadn´t sold anything and very kindly and even a bit excited he answered all my enquiries.
I told him I was very interested in analog photography, but I didn´t know how to start. He advised me to buy a camara that would be perfect to learn with, not necessarily the most professional one.
And so I did. He taught me the basics of how to use it and so I started to 'play' and to experiment with it. It was such an adventure to develop the first roll of film!
This one had two photos that stood out from the rest, that I achieved by shooting double exposure. Even though these where slightly planned, the outcome really did impress me.
Nowadays I deeply enjoy my 'friend' a stunning Afga Solinette II from the 1950's. With her I set out to create scenes that do not exist. I try to express what I felt the moment I was there taking that shot and the atmosphere that surrounded me. All of which we can't always see represented in a photo but what we can feel when we glance at paintings.
I paint with a camara that which isn´t there but I can feel when I am there.
