Biografia

I started experimenting with paint and color in 1997 as a means of self discovery and liberated self expression. Here I quickly learned mixing mediums within my work added both complexity and depth to each individual piece. My work may include various metals & rusted objects, foil, stencils, altered & found objects, as well as shredded paper sewn together. Texture, color & symbolism are integral parts of my work.
Much of my inspiration comes from life experiences and my personal relationship with the world we live in, trying to express it in my work through blending, stitching, layering and revealing. Through the continued practice of venturing into unknown territory within the hidden corners of myself, shedding layers of fear and doubt and embracing my own vulnerability, my work is constantly evolving.
My goal is for people to have an almost primal connection with my work, themselves and the universe. It is my hope that the love and tolerance for all things is portrayed, honored and respected through my work, bringing us together in that place where souls meet.
