Biografia
My work is line and color based with an eye towards pentimento. The ghost-like quality of the image brings up stirrings of psychological searchings, and both memory and forgetfulness. Line quality is of the utmost importance and false meanderings are obvious. The work is not happenstance. Each mark is a road, confident in itself. The work that I am submitting is done with acrylic and graphite on wood or paper. I find that the quick response of acrylic paint lends itself to expressive movements and moments as well as an overlaying of paint over graphite.
