Biografia
My education was in fine art but later i developed an interest in photography especially in the abstract forms found in nature,my work was both published and exhibited. I later became strongly attracted to oriential minimalism and it's empathy with nature found in such forms as Suiseki(the art of beautiful stone)and Bonsai. I applied the philosophy of both of these art forms, which regard nature as the Master artist to my work. Therefore, i believe my role is to open and reveal the inner beauty and present their full visual potential. My sculptures have been sold in the UK and since moving to Italy have been exhibited at the Permanente in Milan as a finalist in the prestigious Premio Arte awards. I believe my work is directly opposed to the human desire to control nature as the outcome of the sculptures are dependant on the influences nature has imposed. All the sculptures are interactive both in a tactile and visual way. Each piece can be viewed in many different positions and this involves the viewer in the artistic process, giving freedom to their own interpretations.
