Biography
Marcella Arena was born in Caltanissetta in September 7 ,1969. She got the diploma in 1989 at “Istituto
Statale D'Arte “F.Juvara””, San Cataldo. She took part to other specific courses in Palermo, Florence and Bologna. She had many different art exhibitions by alone or together with other artists; the most important works have been shown in Barcelona (Spain) and sponsored by “Istituto Italiano di Cultura”. Director Ennio Bispuri inaugurated the event. She participated to many painting competitions and most of times as finalist. She was included in the “L.E.D.LuciEspressioneD'Autore” catalogue for her fancy glass work. Many of her Tamara De Lempicka ‘s reproductions decorate many houses of a Jet Set group of people in Rome today. And inspired by this artist, Marcella created her own style featured by a soft but punchy brush stroke with sketches of women mostly starring in landscapes. Marcella is also appreciated for her Tiffany works and decorations. Recently she had discovered her passion for photography and digital graphics as another way to express various forms of her art. And now she is busy in a interesting project regarding how graphic signs and pictorial signs blend together to give just one expressive artistic support.
