Biography
Roberto Casati was born in Florence in 1952.
Eclectic and creative expresses his first experiences as GUCCI, where he worked with Paolo Gucci for the development
of some designs for summer knitting, ceramics and objects.
In the early '80s takes its own path as a designer for several companies in the field of fashion, perfumery and cosmetics:
draws lines Lloving Accessories-fashion, high fashion garments for Love in Florence, silk scarves for Helena Rubinstein,
handbags for Laura Biagiotti and Renato Balestra, scarves and brooches for Gabriela Sabatini and Van Cleef & Harpels,
slippers and Solutions collections for intimate Intimo3.
In the early 90s features some successful Fall I. Spring and E. the amphitheater of the Pecci Museum in Kobe and Osaka to Frankfurt.
In 2007 he created the image of Spicciano.
In 2010 draws Kasauovo, an innovative work, where they integrate ecology, environment and design. Kasauovo is the first "home - kit" egg-shaped in the world. Construction started in 2011 and was completed in 2012.
Kasauovo is previewed at the prestigious World Contemporary Art Collection of Giuliano Gori, the Fattoria di Celle (16.6.2012, Santomato, Pistoia), together with the works of Robert Morris, Alessandro Mendini, Loris Cecchini and
Luigi Mainolfi.
On 7 February 2013, the Pecci Museum dedicates an evening as part of the Artists Km zero. Here Roberto presents
a preview of Atargatis (the chair-egg) and Kabinart (the Public-Art-WC).
In February 2013, the Campanile-Kasauovo is selected for "Up in the Sky" to Saie3.
In April .2013 armchairs Atargatis are used to "relax" of the visitors at the prestigious International Crafts Fair in
Florence.
