Biography
Sandro Tiberi is an artist from Fabriano, an expert in handmade papermaking, and teaches paper technology at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. He organizes and participates in exhibitions and events. He was the national president of the various arts section of Confartigianato. He has written a book, "Incontro con la carta," published by Chiaredizioni. He also wrote an autobiographical book, "I Tiberi," for the same publishing house.
Articles about him and his work have appeared in major national newspapers and several international magazines. He has appeared on various television programs and documentaries on national and international channels, and Japanese national television, NHK, filmed a documentary about him. He has taught hundreds of workshops at the major Academies of Fine Arts: Venice, Bologna, Rome, Perugia, and Macerata, in secondary and primary schools, in cultural associations, and for social reintegration purposes. He has collaborated with the main paper museums in Italy, is a member of the Pia Università dei Cartai, and is an honorary member of the Fondazione Fedrigoni Fabriano.
