Biography
My interest lies in re-presenting reality across cultural, territorial and interpersonal borders. Fascinated by the various perspectives on conflict, I find myself acutely aware of the way images of war are represented in the news media. By connecting historical maps with images captured from television, and photographs that I make, I engage with the language of media propaganda. In using these strategies I consider the frames of the visible. Creating intricate digital collages that reveal the gap between sight and insight, to speak to the impact of sensory perception in understanding who we are.
