Biography
Jan is a painter with great passion for oil paint. Impasto(painting in thick layers)is the approch he takes. He dedicates himself with the fundamentals of the art of painting: paint, canvas and tools. Primarily he paints from his feeling of the days and entrusts this to the painting. The movement and action are captured in the tracks of the paint.
Figurative images emerge and the paintings can then be more or less abstract. He moves extremely free, and is not restricted by any particular way of working. Always exploring why something pleases or not. Through this increasingly more powerful process, he surprises you again and again.
His style is both recognisable and extraordinary.
