Biography

Sevan Naccashian studied Painting & Graphics at the Fine Arts Academy of Yerevan, Armenia, graduated with a Master’s degree in1992, and continued specializing until 1995.
Currently Sevan lives in Montreal, paints, and exhibits internationally. Cultural heritage, nature, traveling, personal experiences and ideas uniquely influence and reflect in her paintings. Her work has been recognized and shown by many art institutions and centres in North America and Europe.
On October 12, 2007 The Leslie Coppold Prize, The Best Artist of the Year Award was presented to Sevan Naccashian by The Arts Club, Montreal, with a grant to follow a specialization course in Europe.
Sevan is also the winner of the 1st & 2nd prizes in 2005, as well as the 1st Prize in 2004, for best paintings in technique, composition and originality, during the Annual Juried Shows of the Arts Club. Her motto is, "It is possible to show the beauty of anything when one has the ability to see it, and has something original to say.”
