Biography
Stefania Di Filippo was born in 1982 in Sicily, where she presently lives and works. She conceives photography as a mean to investigate and document reality. In 2014 her first work 'Cosmogonia' was selected and exhibited in the eighth edition of Photofestival, an international event dedicated to photography, within the historic Giureconsulti Palace in Milan. In 2014, that series won the prestigious international award PX3 - Prix de la Photographie Paris - winning the third place in the category Fine Art - Abstract Photography. Later in the same year, she also got an honorable mention from IPA, International Photography Awards, for her work on memory and energy of objects, theme on which she is now developing a personal photographic research.
