Biografia

My work tends to focus on the people, the permanently changing collective.
Sociologist Erving Goffman described in his book ” The Presentation of Self in Everyday Life”, the process of socialization as a form of performance. Through socialization are we able to establish our social identity. Without this interaction we can't define ourselves in the wild context of still changing civilization. Connecting with others is necessary for people to be able to define themselves.
My intention is to register the process of seeking identity through such social connections, the invisible process of tending the unknown.
Drawing is the basis of my whole practice, extending towards other forms of expressions, such as graphic, painting and recently I have started to work with installations. The repetitive nature of drawing frees my imagination and provides many opportunities for ,,happy accident” and grace to influence the finished work .
