I am interested in ideas of collation, collection and collage of materials and of ideas.
I work with the discarded, the found, the purchased, and the accidents, from which they are adapted, transformed and contained into a framework of visual archiving. This would be done using varying processes of which I deem suitable to the material.

Sewing, gluing, editing, cutting, pasting, attaching, confining, animating, pinning, tying, erasing, arranging, dividing...

Through these processes I attempt to understand a “deeper” aspect of the material, its construction, origin, and original purpose/message. A relationship is founded with the material, one of curiosity whereby I take the position of an editor or experimenter tinkering with his tools to “uncover” the key characteristics of the material.
It is a procession with no clear path, but one which is forged along the way with the destination unknown, but to become clear or to remain blurred. Annexes are built and extensions are made en route.
