Biografia
I am a UK-based photographer / visual narrator from Latvia. Born 1985. I have had several exhibitions in Latvia, Italy, China, Netherlands and the UK. Participant of a residency ‘Docking Station’ in Amsterdam. Nominated and selected for a 'Magnum Photos Graduate Photographers Award 2017' in partnership with Photo London and RBB Economics. Selected for a 'Slideluck Prato' screening Mapping: Identity, Social, Territory followed by a winning prize 2016 - exhibition of the feature at Lato Gallery in Italy, LensCulture Editor's Picks feature and showcase in the Emerging Talent Awards 2016, Special Guest Selection by Cliff Lauson (Curator, Hayward Gallery London) for a Source Photographic Review, an open call selection for a projection 'Facts and Clarifications' as a part of Riga Photomonth 2017 and photo book exhibition / showcase Self Publish Riga 2017. Last year graduated from the University of Brighton with a Master’s Degree in Photography (Distinction). In 2015 participated in the workshop The Narrative Portrait by A. Sanguinetti (Magnum Photos) at the International Summer School of Photography (ISSP).
