Biografia
Through painting I produce an art of immediacy and movement of candid poses and compositions, of the play of light expressed through a brief encounter of passing time. By using a bright and varied use of colour the work has the capacity to move the viewer emotionally. Focussing on urban scenes, images that appear to be flashes of memories walking through empty streets. A glance at a residents garden, reflections in the windows of a house and the glare of a street light falling upon its surroundings. The work brings to light the hidden beauty of the world we live in that so often passes us by, and evokes questions about the relationship between people and places; how might places effect the lives and chances of the people who live there.
