Daniele Balit (Rome, 1976) is a curator, critic, and art historian living in Paris. He holds a PhD in Contemporary Art History from La Sorbonne University – Paris I, in which he has investigated the impact of sound-based practices on the exhibition contexts. He’s the founder of Birdcage: an itinerant sound gallery producing in situ interventions. Since 2006, he is a founding member of 1:1projects, a non-profit space and artists' archive based in Rome, that has been recently relocated at MACRO Museum in Rome on a long-term loan.
