Biografia
Christina Hartl-Prager, born 1980 in Innsbruck, lives and works in Vienna/Austria.
After graduation from Polytechnic Institute in Innsbruck 2001 and a multiple education as house painter, paperhanger, signage manufacturer, gilder, silversmith and sculpting therein, she moved to Linz and studied at Art University Fine Art/Transmedial Space, class of Renate Herter.
From 2004 until 2008 she was also part of the cultural institution Medea, wherein she initiated group-exhibitions and on-tour projects, mostly with young artists in Austria, Ireland and Poland. During this time she mostly worked in the field of sidespecific installation. After her degree and the move to Vienna, Christina expanded her interests towards photography and drawing.
A key outcome of Christinas artistic approach is reflected in the fragmentary. By dealing with subjective perceptions, she is searching for subtile structures and inherent aspects in urban habitats.
