Conti di Segni

Il maniero fu la residenza principale dei Conti di Segni, che ebbero ben quattro papi e tanti altri cardinali. Dominarono nel medioevo le zone intorno Roma, appoggiarono sempre la chiesa, ma la loro schiatta si estinse, li distrusse l’ossessione della purezza, di non disperdere il patrimonio e il seme: si congiunsero tra consanguinei. Ossessionati dalla purezza si ridussero a dei malati.
The manor was the main residence of the Counts of Segni, who had four popes and many other cardinals. They dominated in the Middle Ages the areas around Rome, always supported the church, but their lineage became extinct, destroyed them an obsession with purity, not to squander the heritage and the seed: conjoined inbreeding. Obsessed with purity were reduced to the sick.
