Organic Machine
From the 2014 - 2015 series ''Organic Machines''
''Organic Machines'' is the name of a series I've been working for the last year with the purpose of creating a different aesthetics of evolution for the human kind, for it to be more suitable to live in today's world 's conditions. These newly created people are most usually in combined forms of genders (male - female) and sometimes with other animals or other artificial forms which are essential in our lives and our history of civilization like architecture, nature, communication or language. In this one, the nearly architectural humanlike form which appears to be a combination of male and female is evolved to a different kind of creature almost like a spider standing still on a lawn. It is not a human anymore, it appears from the ground like a tree, becomes an organic human like being but also has body parts like it has mechanical tools. It's tragic standing between the fertile lawn and the dead desert behind seems like it's trapped in time between those two.
The creature has also an eclectic form in the means of types of artistic expressions as painting, sculpture and architecture. It's like the will to be existing in any form and dimension. With dimentions, I mean the two dimentional additions to the composition, one with yellow, representing the male and female in the same abstract form, and one with the desert breaking the laws of three dimentional world and mix with the lawn like they are two dimentional. I personaly find theese two dimentional additions as an essential part of the composition, thus to the creature. Like it can't exist without it's parts in different dimensions.
Although the motivations of this design of a different human kind comes from subconcious reactions to very real problems of our lives, the result is totally surreal like an escape from it, but dramatically can't. I see this dilemma of my work as the perfect balance of our tragedy, and I like to honor it with a perfect composition including all the elements of artistic expression.
