'Carrying Capacity' - Collaborative Works: 2006-2011, Exhibition & Audiovisual.
Exhibition of concepts, works and processes.The ideas and realised works span craftmanship and design, exploring place making, form based attributes of a renewable material resourse, wood and its environmental and societal context.
‘The conceptual foundation and spirit of the work is holistic in approach and draws on a sense of place, and connection – socially, economically and ethically.’
Documenting collaborations 2006-2011, including recent Forest of Light | Woodspace at Electric Picnic 2011, the exhibition will feature drawings, models and photographic records by Eugene Boyle coordinator and creative facilitator of the project, along with extensive selection of images by Alice Clancy, Architectural Photographer, film by Alice Mc Dowell and original soundtrack by Paul Shorten.
This years pro-bono based project was in collaboration with Wood Marketing Federation with support from COFORD – the Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Food, ESB Electric Ireland, Coillte Group, Glennon Brothers and the Society of Irish Foresters.
Running Monday 31 October to Friday 18 November 2011 as part of Innovation Dublin Festival 2011 and Design Week 2011. Venue & Times (to be finalised) refer to:
