Soup (A Concept Consommé) displays McLean's keen script-writing skills. Accentuating the theatre of restaurant-going, Soup takes its theme from the history of Modernist sculpture and the observations of manners, gestures and behaviours of staff and customers in an up-market restaurant. Incisively humourous the film derives from a concern with the seemingly trivial aspects of appearance and body language, and how they inform the different identities we consciously and subconsciously assume.

Bar
The Stadtkino Bar will be open before and after the screenings for drinks and snacks. Monday through Saturday, 7pm to midnight and Saturday 10am to 2pm



Stadtkino Basel Klostergasse 5 4051 Basel Tram number 1 (direction SBB) or 2 (direction Binningen) from Messeplatz to Bankverein. From Bankverein it is a 3-minute walk to the Stadtkino (located adjacent to the Restaurant Kunsthalle and the Campari Bar)
