The exhibition, Portraits Interiors, Concetta De Pasquale and Alain Riviere, August 6 to 17 hosted by the Department of Cultural Heritage of the City of Milazzo at the striking setting of the Castle in the 'Oratory of SS. Sacramento, offers an interesting dialogue between painting and photography created by the two artists around a common theme, the portrait as an expression of the inner world of man.
This exhibition, already hosted last winter's Palace of Culture of the Municipality of Catania, represents a unique opportunity for discussion between the two artists, who have long worked with different languages expressiveness of the body.
In large cards painted in oil and tar Concetta De Pasquale investigates the body in its double meaning, physical and spiritual. They are signs, fingerprints and traces of an 'experience that, before being painted, it is mental and spiritual, but at the same time physical and sensual.
In the series of photographs on potrait / Interiors, Alain Rivière uses gaze as a means to explore the inner world of the 'individual.
The works in the exhibition are accompanied by a video that Anna Di Leo has created for this occasion around the artistic dialogue of De Pasquale and Rivière.
