The Contemporary Art Gallery in Via Dei Genovesi MICRO 44 (Cagliari), opens to the public Thursday, July 12 at 19.00 with the group exhibition curated by Chiara DUEMILAEDODICI TRANSFORMATIONS Elena Balasini, Tatjana Goex and Gianluca Melis and promoted by Cinquesensi.
MICRO Cinquesensi born by the Association with the aim of ensuring visibility to as many artists as possible. The challenge for artists is to deal with extremely small sizes.
As in so small in the grand, the microcosm reflects the macrocosm itself: the ancients knew this well and all the medieval and Renaissance thought is permeated by this insight.
Perhaps this is a thought that we should rediscover: sometimes change also means going back to get on the road that we have lost and that may be useful in continuing the journey.
The artists display work on the theme of 2012 intended as a year of change and transformation, not necessarily catastrophic. The change seen as opportunity to open new scenarios, to establish relationships with new and implement individually (in micro) to the actual transformation.
The works were selected not only according to the artistic qualities of the author, taking into account originality, innovation and contemporary work.
