In these days it will be possible to visit, near the Gallery Events of Grosseto, the Personale "Apology 2012" of Alexander Boccini. At the age of seventeen years, the artist discovers the art of the ceramics and frequents an ancient furnace to Rome and, at the end of the fifties, he frequents artists and artisans beginning to deal with painting. In his paintings we can see the symbolic world that turns into a harmony of shapes and colors or in a figurative description. Sometimes Boccini also paints on wood, what was the main support of European paintings from antiquity to the sixteenth century before being almost completely replaced by the painting on canvas. His art has a "Geometric construction, order, simplicity. For the artist is an emotion necessary to know the world. Is the inner reality that makes it through a given image by shapes and bold colors and dazzling. Boccini moved on the canvas his feelings, emotions and thoughts".
The exhibition will run until November 4, daily from 17:30 to 20:00.

Below is a brief interview.
Hello Mr. Boccini, we met a year ago in Civitella Paganico at the Painting Competition organized by the Municipality. I would like to ask you some questions. Of what draws his Personale "Antologica 2012"?.
My personal "Antologica 2012" is intended to represent, in 35 paintings, a selection of my work of the last three years, that puts in evidence some "moments" of my everyday life, as in a camera flash, I was impressed.

Who or what influenced his painting?
I live the life and the life it influences me.

Which themes inspires you and what you want to communicate with your work?
Each piece has its own story. Sometimes more works by the same content, even 15 or 20, may result from a single moment of anxiety, of love, of passion that surrounds us for a moment. 20 works are born then with the same colors and the same signs that in someone, but not in everybody, they inspire what I have tried. Sometimes a painting figurative story in the impression given by the vision of a Venice in November, other tale a moment of reflection - quiet, restless - in informal work done by some sign or some color.

What does it mean for you to paint?
For me to paint is to reveal my soul, almost always uneasy soul. A picture, to whom knows to read him or who can read it, it appears as the "universal judgment." We are judged from as we dress, from thing we eat, from who frequent; and the painter is judged by some signs that he leaves on the cloth; sometimes there is no sign but only color.

What has changed since his debut in Rome?
In Rome, in 17 years I lived in the light and heat of the sun and everything seemed clear and distinct, today to 74 years living in the "light" of the night and try to see what lies beyond. But today strangely everything is clearer because I do not suffer to know what will happen to me.
