BEYOND THE CITY WALLS 2012 - CASTLE IN THE CIMINO ORSINI SORIANO (Viterbo, Italy) from 21 July to 6 August 2012
It will be the Castello Orsini in Soriano nel Cimino (VT), former Italian prison until 1989, to host the first major show of the series of exhibitions of the National Exposition of Contemporary Arts, scheduled for 2012.
With the artistic direction of Paul Berti, by Fabio and Michele Wad Caporosso Weik, assisted by Anita Gentile, after a week of workshops, on 21 July at 18.00, the gates of "Ferrigno" Castle is open and large rooms will host the works of the best contemporary artists of International Street Art, for "Beyond the city walls 2012."
Now in its second edition, having between March and April 2011, already invaded, artistically rooms Giulia Farnese in Palazzo Orsini and Near sixteenth Bomaderry, (another jewel of mannerist than half of the sixteenth century), this July will be proposed the best of International Writing. Will be present with their works, many of which have created site-specific, in the period of residence of the authors, Rems182_Truly Design, Shepard Fairey, "OBEY", Fabio Weik, VESOD, Francis Pogliaghi, Manuel Di Rita "Peeta" FLY CAT , Corn79 & MrFijodor, Massimo Gurnari, James Gulliver Hancock.
Beyond the walls of the city to find himself artistically and mentally between the walls exude history of nine centuries, will be the challenge for the second time the artist will face, putting their hard work and creativity of Sale and battlements, towers and walkways , from Cimini, surrounded by the vastness of the plain Teverina and town of the Apennines.
The Vernissage will be preceded, in the days before, by a series of events in the City, with interests, Jams and performances, in the evenings between 18 and 20 July, contaminating the music of Tuscia in Jazz Festival in Soriano nel Cimino in the present contemporary.
This event, international in scope and value, was made by the Prize Center, with the support of the President of the Republic, the patronage of the Lazio Region - Department of Culture, the Province of Viterbo and thanks to the collaboration of the City of Soriano Cimino and the Department of Culture, which he immediately shared the project, making available for its completion, within the much larger National Show.
