The site-specific installation "Kill the Gross Domestic Product" investigates a specific idea of R03;R03;progress that reduces the growth and progress of a company to market dynamics. GDP measures the total value of production of a nation does not take into account factors such as sense of community, sense of belonging, quality of life that are fundamental to the well being of a community and its growth in the broadest sense and complete.
In recent years a growing debate among economists on the effectiveness of real GDP as a measure of growth. Not a few scholars suggest alternative measures such as the 'real progress indicator "or" national happiness "or the" subjective well-being "to overcome the Easterlin paradox, which is the paradoxical finding that the happiness of individuals depends little on changes of income.
The installation "Kill GDP" brings together the cross-section of a house built with hazel branches interlaced m. 1.80 x1, 80 x 2.60, escaping through a tunnel wall and resting on the floor with a single vertex in an unstable equilibrium, a body feather and a video projection through vegetation and places of our living and that condense in a pulsating red spot ... in the search for a form, a poetic dimension in which to meet and where possible restore the natural conditions of life in relationship with nature and with themselves, and where the living is not just "keep the land but also trigger a sense of the relations between human beings and the responsibility to life itself.
"So if the spirit, soul, life is found in all things and in some grades, fills all matter, is certainly to be the true measure and the true form of all things. (Giordano Bruno, De la cause, principle et a). "
