In Search of Life, Discovering the Origins

The images taken by the Hubble telescope have inspired the artist in the creation of works made with the technique of dripping (acrylic colors are drained and / or scketched on the canvas, without using brushes), in which were represented galaxies and nebulae.

In the exhibition "In Search of Life, Discovery of Origins" Gianfranco Bianchi exhibiting about 30 works.
The event will be held at the Gallery Merlino Bottega d'Arte in Florence -Via delle Vecchie Carceri from 6 to 20 September 2014
(opening hours: Tuesday and Wednesday: 17:30 - 20; Thursday, Friday and Saturday: 10.30 - 13 and 17.30 - 20).

The exhibition is sponsored by the Province of Pistoia, because the artist will give all visitors of the vouchers offered by the sponsors of the territory of Pistoia in order to raise awareness of the excellence of the province in which he resides for a long time.

The inauguration will be held on Saturday, September 6 at 18, with the video recording of ToscanaTV and presentation of the art critic Prof. Giammarco Puntelli (Artistic Director Spoleto International Art Fair and Artistic Director Diana Musolino City of Pizzo) .

Speakers
- Prof. Giorgio Bianciardi (Researcher and Professor, University of Siena, where he holds a Bachelor of Astrobiology, is a member of the board of Centro Studi di Milano Exobiology and Vice-President of the Union of Amateur Astronomers Italian, UAI). The Prof. bring greetings Italian Amateur Astronomers Union (www.uai.it) and talk about astrobiology with a short lecture on "The Search for Life Beyond Earth". Bianciardi is also Editor of the journal "Astronomy", Provincial Director of the Astronomical Observatory of Montarrenti (Siena), chairman of the network of telescopes remote ASTRA_Skylive www.skylive.it and collaborator of the prestigious monthly italian magazine of astronomy "Coelum" www.coelum.com.

- Prof. Emanuele Pace (astrophysicist, researcher and Professor of Spatial Technologies at the University of Florence, Director of the OPC, Observatory multifunctional of Chianti), who will talk about the Centre's work and notify the www.osservatoriodelchianti.it date for a new exceptional event to be held at the Gallery Merlino with the presence of the artist.
