High above the aqua sea,
On Knossos' frescoed walls,
Jumping dolphins playfully,
Across the marbled halls.

And horn and hoof,
And muscled backs,
Strain beneath the double-ax,
As wasp-waist girls,
With ringlet curls,
Pay the fearful tax.
