Mutatis Mutandi
Papi Cristina 2014 photo 210 x180.
The work is a transposition of the mutation in the time of the body.
A body that is manifested in the genetic similarities of three different individuals belonging to the same family who candidly cover the nakedness and preserve a primordial purity.
The direction of the gaze opens in a diagonal that tells "à rebour", of the inexorable passage of time in the body.
The unnatural reversal from the older figure to the younger suggests a cyclical nature of the artist, a perpetual motion that never stops and at the same time can be two-ways.
The image is focused on the firm sight of the three subjects.
The anatomy of the bodies with their similarities and natural withering can be seen as a glimpse between the folds of a white sheet held tight in his hands, a reminder of the shame that requires you to hide the nakedness.
The self-portrait is thought of as a representation of itself in fieri, lucid and at the same time unaware of overlapping cultures, feelings, habits and conflicting identities. Quote of The three age Klimtiane; tribute to what belongs to us by nature or by virtue of which it is not allowed to separate. A self-portrait mutant and unchanged.
