Decay of human dignity
The newspapers of a country can, in two weeks, bringing the crowd blind and ignorant to such a state of exasperation and excitement to induce men to wear military dress to kill and be killed in order to allow businessmen to realize unknown their dastardly plans. Compulsory military service seems to me the most disgraceful symptom of the lack of personal dignity is suffering today our civilized humanity.
In relation to this state of affairs is no shortage prophets who predict the near collapse of our civilization.
I am not in the number of these pessimists: I believe in a better future.
