Teddy Lo is an internationally acclaimed light artist based in Hong Kong who has exhibited his works in the US, Europe, and Asia. Recognized in international art circles as a pioneering figure in the new media and contemporary art scene, Lo’s creative luminous works present a fusion of technological, conceptual and aesthetic elements.
In 2003, Lo held his first solo art exhibition in NYC, Morphology, and was included in Lighting magazine’s “Who’s Who of Lighting 2004” list, for his contributions to the lighting industry. Since then, Lo has been focusing in developing LED artworks that dealt with spectrum manipulations, sculptural designs and interactive dynamics. He held exhibitions in prestigious locations around the world, including Luminale in Frankfurt, Asia Society in Hong Kong, Museum of Art and Design in NYC, Shanghai Museum of Contemporary Arts, Art Centre BUDA Kortrijk in Belgium, Hong Kong Museum of Art, BurningMan Festival in Nevada, Esplanade in Singapore and 798 Art District in Beijing, among others.
Lo received a BFA degree from Art Center College of Design in Advertising Designs as an art director and obtained a Master’s degree in Lighting from the Queensland University of Technology. In addition to continuing his artistic pursuits, Lo is the founder of LEDARTIST, an LED experience design consulting agency with offices in Hong Kong, New York and Shanghai.
