The columns represent the evolution of Greek architectural styles starting from the early Minoan style, progressing towards the Ionic, the Doric and finally the Corinthian style. This painting is dedicated to the great Greek architects, philosophers and writers who created exemplary pieces of work which supported and educated wide populations for many following centuries.
