My research practice explores marking processes in a contemporary art context to develop an area concerned with expenditure, duration, transmission and reception. It operates in a field that simultaneously draws from performance and drawing to discuss mapping the body and to question what constitutes marking in the drawing field.

In recent events, I have continuously drawn circles – the full length of my arm as a physical and mental challenge in a blackened out space to explore embodiment through movement and disembodiment through sound.

I am influenced by artworks such as Matthew Barney’s “Restraint Drawings” and Martin Creed’s “Work No. 850” - I am interested in the materiality and movement to explore marking the body in process and suggesting a new experience.
